We have BIG news!
We are adopting a baby!
Actually, we are adopting TWINS!
Last year, we blessed with the placement through foster care of a perfect baby girl who was 7 weeks old. After a very long and trying year, we were able to finalize our adoption and make her a Williamson. Life has been bliss ever since.
We always knew we wanted to adopt again, however not exactly sure of timing. Since we knew this was the goal, my husband and I slowly started the process of becoming re-certified to be eligible for another placement through foster, hoping to complete our family. We were just in the beginning stages of this process. We chose to take our time to ensure we were completely prepared to bring home another little.
God had other plans, a short week ago we received a call from a family friend who was looking for options for a mother in the hospital. Right then and there we were faced with a decision.
The next day, without hesitation-we went shopping! Two car seats, two cribs, countless onsies and bottles.
Instantly, our family of three changed to a family of five.
We are overjoyed with this unexpected blessing we have been given so we are adopting independently to ensure these babies have a loving, forever home that do not require the uncertainty of foster care.
Even though this is such a wonderful and exciting event to have happen, it was unexpected. We did not have months of time to prepare or save. Regardless of finances, we knew this call was part of a plan bigger for us, so naturally we are doing anything and everything to fulfill the need.
This fundraiser is to assist with funding for our adoption. Since it is private, there are many expenses that are required to be paid. We have a goal of $10,000 to help cover legal fees, home study and other expenses to make these babes ours!
