We have BIG news!
We are adopting and have been matched with a BABY BOY!!
We are beyond excited and are doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome a beautiful new life into our home through infant domestic adoption. As part of our adoption process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign. It may surprise you to hear that adoption related costs can easily total up to $30,000 or more. We currently have $19,000 remaining from our last fundraising push and are in need of an additional $7,000 to be fully funded and help ease the cost of travel.
Here is a list of future expenses:
Placement fee: $17,416
ICPC: $750 for Florida and $1,500 for California
Lawyer fee: $1,500
Travel: Flights (aprox $1900) and 14 days room and board. If timeline allows we have been gifted a home to say at for 6 of those days (possibly more depending on availability)
In addition to fundraising we have applied for 3 adoption grants and are waiting to hear back.
