We have BIG news!
We are adopting a child!
Goal: As part of our adoption process, we have started a fundraising campaign as an easy, tax deductible way to donate! The 30,000+ cost to adopt is daunting so, we have chosen to set a goal to raise $25,000 of it! We hope that by inviting you into this process, you will see yourself as part of the community we hope to build around our child as he/she grows up. Your donation will be so much more than a kind gesture to us! Our family will be forever grateful for your willingness to help bring this sweet child home. It will have a lasting impact on their/our life and that is so amazing!
Why: Adoption has been something the Lord placed on our hearts a long time ago. We knew it was something we needed to pursue and began asking questions, meeting with families around us that had been through this process, meeting with our agency, putting money aside, and praying. Through all of this we were growing in our faith and learning more about Christ’s desire for us to bring another life into our home. We are blessed with the understanding that we ourselves have been adopted into the family of Christ by no doing of our own, but by simply turning our lives over to Him. Ephesians 1:5-6 says “He predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with His pleasure and His will - to the praise of His glorious grace, which He has freely given us in the One He loves.” Under this belief, we are all equals in the eyes of God and He has called us worthy. In adoption, every child deserves to and is worthy of being a part of a family. There will be no question of this child’s worthiness to be unconditionally loved and accepted into our family. They will simply belong. They will be cherished and loved without question just as Christ cherishes and loves us.
