"A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step." - Chinese proverb Adoption is a journey God has called us to. Psalm 68:6 says, "You find families for those who are lonely." Our son is going to be 2 years old in May 2015 and we can&'t wait to get him home! His name is to be Josiah because we love the meaning…"God heals." We got married almost four years ago and two years ago we were blessed with our son Andrew. The desire to adopt took root in our hearts early on in our marriage. We have decided to adopt from China because we love the culture and the people. Lisa has had several opportunities to travel to China and work with Chinese International students in the USA. There is a connection between us and China that just can&'t be explained by anything besides God putting a special place in our hearts for the Chinese. You&'ve probably heard the African proverb, "It takes a village to raise a child," but we say, "God is using our village to bring our little one home." If you don&'t know much about adoption, it is expensive! Our adoption agency has informed us that we should be prepared to pay upwards of $30,000. We have saved and done some fundraisers, but we still have a long way to go. We are trusting God to provide for what he has called us to, so we have put up this website to give others the opportunity to be part of bringing our little one home. Would you help our "journey of a thousand miles" get one step closer? Thank you for reading!
