Shelby and Zachary Woolum

are adopting a child from United States of America

Help us bring our little peanut home!

Hello :) I'm Shelby and have been married to my wonderful husband Zach for almost 6 years! We are invested in our church, community and family, but unfortunately, a piece of our puzzle is missing..

Zach and I began our journey to find our daughter many years ago. After getting married in 2013 we had set out to conceive children first, with plans of eventually fostering and adopting a child/children. Well, God had other plans and we are so thankful that He did! A little over a year and a half ago we became licensed foster parents. Throughout our journey we have welcomed 10 children into our home. Each child brought a joy to our lives that we cannot explain. However, as each kiddo left, the longing for permanency grew stronger and stronger. We knew God was preparing us for adoption one day, we just didn't know when that day would come.

Here's where our official adoption journey began..

Our daughters birth mother reached out to us a few months back and immediately we knew this little girl was meant to be ours. Our forever, our daughter. It's finally happening!

The last few months have been filled with family reveals (not as planned because I just couldn't keep it a secret!), planning schedules, and communicating with the adoption agency. We are in full-swing adoption prepping mode, and I'll tell you, there's a lot to do!!

Adoption is a beautiful decision and one that is right for our family; however, it is also very expensive. Even though we are going into an agency pre-matched with our baby and her bio mama, the cost is still very high. $15,000 to be exact.

We are working diligently on applying for any adoption grants and scholarships available, while also fundraising through yard selling, selling candy bars, babysitting, working over-time and every other means we can come up with!

Our little girl is due at the end of September. We are working hard to get her here. If you are able to give, please do. Please help us bring our little girl home.

Thank you. \<3
