We have BIG news!
We are adopting a child!
We are beyond excited and are doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome a beautiful new life into our home. As part of our adoption process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign. It may surprise you to hear that adoption related costs can easily total up to $50,000 or more. Though we would love to say we can afford this no problem; help from our family and friends would be such a gift. Bill & I have set a goal of $55,000 to help ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents.
We started this Journey in May 2018. Jamie got a life changing phone call from her Doctor. She let us know that Jamie had stage 2b Cervical cancer and our options for treatment were "simple". Within a month of finding out the what the treatment was, she was being admitted into the hospital for a total hysterectomy. Knowing that our lives had been changed forever, Bill still proposed days after finding out the diagnosis. We knew from our beginning that children were not a question of if but when. We have so much love to give and share. We have NINE amazing nieces and nephews who think we're pretty cool and SO want to give them another cousin. Our home and hearts are ready for a new love. We are overjoyed!
