On March 11, 2017, Nic and I started on a journey we knew would be long and difficult, but exciting. We waited and waited and waited as our story was spread throughout the country by friends and family members who were so eager to help us find Baby Wysong.
On March 11, 2018 (exactly one year to the day), we received a phone call from a woman that would change our lives. She explained that her precious baby was in foster care…but she was interested in making a private adoption plan with us. She wanted a say in who was raising her child, rather than the state making that final decision.
We realized very quickly that this situation would be more complicated than a normal private adoption. And would require us to fight a little harder. But we truly believe this mama found us for a reason…and that this tiny human deserves a forever home.
Since the circumstances are different than what we expected when we started our journey (paying three different attorneys is not something we anticipated!), we are accepting help from anyone that feels called to be part of this sweet baby's story.
