For those of you who have followed our journey, you know it’s been a long one. We are now at a place where we want to move forward with domestic infant adoption. We are working with an agency in PA/NJ, now that we have moved back to the East Coast (Philadelphia). Thank you so much for your support through all of these tough years! We have so much to be grateful for and yet, we still feel the ache to fill our home and lives with children. Please feel no pressure, but if you would like to support, know everything you contribute financially goes directly toward our pursuit of adopting a baby. Day 1 Update
October 11, 2024Hi everyone! Thank you so much for jumping in and giving so much right away.
A few of you asked where we are in the process, so I wanted to share and our next steps.
We have met with two adoption attorneys and have a third meeting coming up. They have all advised that our next step is to complete a home study, which seems it will cost around $2000. This is what we will use our first amount raised for ~ and we are almost there!
Our next step is to choose and hire our lawyer, so any remaining funds that come in will go toward paying them, as well as the birth mother expenses.
Once we have a lawyer in place to handle all the back and forth, we will launch our official website to find a birth mother who is ready to move forward in the adoption process. As you probably know me by now, I already have our site built, we will make it live and distribute it to any places where expecting mommas may be looking.
