Family & friends! It is with great excitement that we announce some exciting news…

We are adopting!

We have wanted to be parents for a long time and we have tried a few other avenues that haven’t worked out.

Now, while we are home study approved we still have a long road ahead. As part of our adoption process, we are creating two crowdfunding campaigns.

It may surprise you to know that Domestic adoption can cost anywhere from $30-70k. On average, it costs about $50k.

Because AdoptTogether covers adoption related expenses on grant-basis, this is where we will collect the larger portion of our fundraising goal 40k. We have opened a separate crowdfunding campaign on GoFundMe for travel and other expenses, which has a goal of 10k.

We hope that by inviting you into this process, you will see yourself as part of the community we hope to build around our child as they grow up.

Hello! We have so much to share—and so much to be grateful for—this week!

- Our Valentine’s Day Baking Raffle has ended with 87 tickets sold and $315 going towards our Adoption Fees.
* Congratulations to the winner of the basket, Kim Wright!
* $50 of the sales will be put towards the next raffle.

- We have sold 5 pins on eBay, with a total of $170 going towards the adoption.

- We received another $100 donation towards our Travel GoFundMe.

- We’ve also been blessed with several gifts outside of our fundraising channels, and we are incredibly grateful for that generosity.

- We have applied to 4 grants, one of which required a Lookbook.
* A Lookbook is shared with birth families so they can get to know prospective adoptive families and find the best fit for their child.

With all of this—combined with our previous efforts—we are now 21.9% closer to our starting goal, which will allow us to officially register with an adoption agency.

Some days in this process feel heavier than others. Adoption is a big dream with big hurdles, and waiting—especially when timing and funding matter so much—can be discouraging.

Even so, we’re choosing to focus on the progress and the community carrying us forward. What we’ve been able to accomplish in such a short time has been incredibly encouraging.

We’re continuing to move pieces forward behind the scenes, including finalizing and sharing our lookbook, working our new part-time job, and keeping multiple fundraising efforts going.

🐾 Auggie is currently in 8th place for America’s Favorite Pet, and voting ends on 2/5—only the Top 5 move on, and a win would mean $10,000 toward our adoption.
🍪 Our Valentine’s Day baking raffle has also been going strong, and the winner will be drawn on 2/6.

This journey is built on patience, persistence, and community—and we are endlessly grateful for our village. Thank you for believing in us, supporting us, and walking alongside us as we keep going. 💛
