Adoption is something we have carried in our hearts for a long time; even before being married.

Now, having spent time in prayer, conversation, and deep discernment, we believe God is calling us to open our hearts and home to a child in need of a family.

Many of you have asked us how you can help. Here are some ways that you can join us.

  1. Prayer This is the most important way that you can help us! The adoption process is long and at times, challenging. Your prayerful accompaniment would mean so much to us.

  2. Sharing Share our journey, and this page, with your family and friends.

  3. Fundraising Adoption can total over $50,000. While we are making great sacrifices to self-fund our adoption, we may need help meeting some of the financial obligations along the way. We are grateful for any gift you feel led to make. (Donations through our Adopt Together site are tax deductible, and can only be used for adoption related expenses with the oversight of “Adopt Together”)

  • Update 11

    Two years!

    June 5, 2024

    We've had some people ask what is going on with the adoption! We are still waiting!

    Here is a recap of our timeline so far:

    June of 2022 - submitted our application to adopt
    August of 2023- completed our home study
    November of 2023- became an active waiting family with our agency

    As of right now there are 10 families waiting for a match.

    We are also in the process of renewing our home study (this has to be done on a yearly basis if the adoption has not yet taken place).

    So, as of this month, we have been on this adoption journey for two years. According to our social worker, many families have been waiting this long in all different agencies. There seems to be an ebb and flow kind of pattern, and lately agencies have been a bit slow. But it's alright! We know that when we receive a call that we've been matched, and we meet this little one, we will know exactly why the journey took as long as it did.

    We appreciate all the love and support and prayers as we continue to wait <3 And of course, when any updates happen, you all will know first!

    Still waiting!

    February 28, 2024

    Hi All!

    I realize it's been a while since we posted an update.

    We are still waiting for our baby. Our agency has 17 (?) families waiting, and I believe 8 or 9 babies that are due in the next few months, so we just don't know when we will get that call.

    In the meantime, we have set up the nursery and continue to raise money for a final payment we will make once we are matched.

    Thank you for your prayers and for waiting right alongside us!!

    ACTIVE

    October 25, 2023

    We are so excited to share that as of yesterday we are offiicially an ACTIVE waiting family! This means that we can be chosen at ANY TIME.

    Please continue to keep us in prayer as we prepare to welcome our new child into our home! We will keep you all posted when we get the call, whenever that may be. It could be tomorrow, it could be in a few months. Only God knows :)

    Please continue to share our fundraiser with anyone you think might be interested!

    We have our next meeting on October 20, and then become an active family shortly thereafter. (Will post another update after that meeting).
