Adoption has been in our hearts for many, many years, and in mid-April of 2023 we sensed the Lord’s leading to begin to take steps towards making this a reality for our family. We have completed a thorough application process through Choosing Hope Adoptions and six weeks of in-person training at their location to better equip us as prospective adoptive parents. Soon, we will apply to the state and begin the home study process. The average domestic infant adoption costs about $40,000. With this in mind, we are so excited that you would consider partnering with us financially! We have contributed towards this number to get to this point in the process, and are now seeking your partnership to get the rest of the way there! If you are here, but are unable to partner financially, please pray for us and the prospective birth family. We deeply covet your prayers throughout this process!

  • Update 8

    Waiting Family

    April 21, 2025

    Since our last update, we have received our profile books and we have been busy with the grant process. We have been both applying for grants and continuing to research what grants we might qualify for to help assist us financially on our adoption journey. Each grant takes anywhere from a month to a few months to hear back from. We have not received an update on the grants we have applied for yet.

    We have received an update that we are officially a waiting adoptive family! This means we are now in the process of waiting to see which birth family the Lord will pair our family with.

    We continue to covet your prayers both for the birth family and our family!

  • Update 7

    Profile Book Update

    March 15, 2025

    Praise the Lord! We have finished the design process of our profile book that will be shared with expectant mothers as they make one of the hardest, if not the hardest, decision of their life. Ten profile books have been ordered and are being mailed to our adoption agency. Two profile books will be mailed to us, one for Jeff and I, and one to give a child that joins our family through adoption. It's important to us that a child understands their story. The profile book is a piece of the child's story and the mother's story as she considers us as an adoptive family. We continue to covet your prayers for all involved as we move closer towards adoption.

    Home Study Approval

    Good news! We have received our home study approval and are working on finishing up our profile book, which will be shown to expectant mothers. We are so grateful for your prayers and we continue to covet them during this season.

    We have a very brief update today. As of today, we have two more pieces of documentation to submit to our adoption agency. Additionally, we have completed our profile book questionnaire, gotten some family photos taken for it, and we are working on two very important letters that will go inside of our profile book. The profile book is a book that will be shown to expectant mothers as they consider placing their child within our family. We continue to covet your prayers, that the Lord would be working in our family's hearts and in the hearts of the birth family, so that we would be able to have a sweet relationship with each other.

  • Update 4

    Home Study Visit #2

    October 2, 2024

    Our second home visit has been completed. Each member of our family spent time talking with our social worker as she sought to get to know us as individuals and as a family. We have been so blessed by her desire to help equip us as a family along our journey to adopt. We have a bit more documentation to complete, gather, and upload into our adoption agency's portal and work to do regarding our profile book. We covet your prayers along the way!
