Adoption has been in our hearts for many, many years, and in mid-April of 2023 we sensed the Lord’s leading to begin to take steps towards making this a reality for our family. We have completed a thorough application process through Choosing Hope Adoptions and six weeks of in-person training at their location to better equip us as prospective adoptive parents. Soon, we will apply to the state and begin the home study process. The average domestic infant adoption costs about $40,000. With this in mind, we are so excited that you would consider partnering with us financially! We have contributed towards this number to get to this point in the process, and are now seeking your partnership to get the rest of the way there! Update 3

Home Study Visit #1
July 29, 2024

Brief update: Our first home study visit went well. We have completed the safety audit portion of the study and we had our fire inspection completed today. We still have another visit to our home, which will occur in the next month or so for the purpose of getting to know our family better. We also have some other documentation to complete, gather, and upload into our adoption agency's portal. Thank you for your continued prayers!

We have been busy gathering/filling out paperwork and making appointments. We are scheduled to have our first home study visit at the end of the month and would love your prayers as we continue to unpack from our move, while also preparing for our home study. We will also begin working on our profile book in the coming weeks as well!

Hello! We have been waiting on the Lord's perfect timing for our next steps within the adoption process and this week we got some exciting news!

We were told two things:
1. We can pursue the profile book making step. We will work with a company to create a profile book that will be shared with prospective birth mothers.
2. We will hear from our social worker in June and officially start the home study process!

Please continue to pray with us over the relationship we hope to have with the prospective birth family and for us as we continue to prepare for a new little one within our home and family.
