Are you ready for the news?

We are adopting a baby!!!

After the storm of 2023 settled and our own fertility journey ended with my hysterectomy due to Adenomyosis, we began praying in earnest about something that had been on our hearts for a long time.

Our family wasn’t complete and God was calling us to adoption.

Exciting as it may be, did you know that infant adoption in the US typically costs $65,000+!? Imagine our shock at that information! But God is still calling us forward and this presents a unique opportunity.

They say “it takes a village” and, while I know you’d love to bring a lasagna after baby is here, something much more urgent presses currently.

If you would stop right now and please take a moment to pray about partnering with us financially to bring Baby K home, it would mean the world to us. We are relying on the power of the Father and the movement of the Holy Spirit around us and in the lives of those we know to make this prayer a reality!

Now, I’m not incredibly great a closing statements so I’ll simply leave with this: thank you. Thank you for praying for us. Thank you for partnering with us financially. Thank you for being a part of our story and the story of the precious child God has chosen to join our family!

    God is so Faithful!

    July 4, 2025

    Two days ago, at the end of our home study we received the distressing news that, in order to present to expectant mamas, we have to be signed on with the Adoption Consultants. We have been under the impression we were able to present strictly with the agency while we amassed the necessary funding for the Adoption Consultants.

    To say we felt defeated would be a great understatement. I felt utterly crushed. Yet another hurdle to cross and we had no idea how to jump it. It turned out we were about $1000 short to sign on with the Adoption Consultants and we had no idea where the money was going to come from.

    Queue an email in my inbox yesterday morning from the Adoption Consultants detailing their new pricing structure. I had been under the impression that the fee was going up and was therefore out of our budget. You guys, the price went down! This never happens! The price is now exactly the amount we have saved up. While it’s terrifying that this will completely deplete our adoption savings, we know this is yet another reminder from the Lord that we are walking in the path He has set before us

    Does this mean we don’t need your help now? Not by any stretch of the imagination! The Consultation fee is merely drop in the bucket of adoption costs so if you have been praying about it and feel so lead, please consider helping our family as we walk forward in faith to grow our family through adoption.

    To say I am absolutely and completely floored, that’s the new understatement! I love when God shows up in these ways that are so undeniable, the only response I have is to praise Him for His glorious provision!

    It’s window day!

    Today’s a big day! One huge step closer! Michael and the boys are transfixed on the “digger” starting work on our egress window!

    Classes- DONE!

    June 2, 2025

    I just received our certificates of completion for the last of our trainings! From what I understand we simply need to get the egress window in (which happens this Friday) and have one more in-home visit and we should be ready to certify!!! I can’t believe this is actually happening some days! God is so faithful!

    One down, one to go!

    May 31, 2025

    We had our second-to-last homestudy visits yesterday and we could not be more excited! Only one more visit, a few trainings (that should be done by the end of next week!) and the window installation (scheduled for June 6th!) and we are good to go! From there our amazing agent with create our homestudy and I get to start on creating our Adoption Profile Book (this is the “get to know us” book the amazing mamas looking to make an adoption plan see when selecting families)!

    Our last immediate need was funds for the window installation. Thanks to your generosity and God’s incredible provision, we can check that goal off as met!

    Next goal: $5000 to sign on with an Adoption Consultant. This is a firm that will expand our reach to even more amazing expecting mamas across the whole country! How amazing is that?

    Prayers that we would quickly meet this goal are needed as signing on the with the firm is the next step after homestudy completion!
