We have exciting news to share!!!
After many failed attempts at growing our family, both naturally and with a little bit of science, we are on our way to making those dreams come true…by adopting!!!
We are doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome a beautiful new baby into our home, but we can't do it alone. Our family and friends have been there supporting us from day one, so we are hoping you can be part of this next journey too.
As part of our adoption process, we have started a fundraising page. This will help ease the some of the overwhelming financial stress, especially after investing so much with our previous IVF attempts. It may surprise you to hear that adoption-related costs can easily total up to $50,000 or more.
We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all that you have done already and can do now to help us achieve our dream of becoming a family of THREE (fur babies not included)
Well Family and Friends, we have passed another milestone in our adoption journey! On August 16 we met our amazing social worker, Emily, for our first homestudy visit. Of course we were nervous, well me more then Patrick of course, but the moment she walked through our door I instantly became at ease! We spent 3 hours together during that first visit, but she made us so feel so comfortable, that the visit flew by. Patrick and I then had individual interviews with her over the next week, which went just as well! Emily is so kind and easy going, I am so happy we will be able to work with her throughout this process!
Now that our homestudy visits are completed, we just need to patiently wait for it to be formally written up and finalized. This is a huge step in the adoption process, and gets us one step closer to being able to be matched with a birth mother. Although the time frame for this NEXT BIG STEP could be anywhere from months to years, we will be ready for that call when it comes!

After 2 long months of collecting information, getting our references in, and lots and lots of waiting, we finally have been accepted and are moving forward with our home study!! We should be hearing from the adoption agency again within the next couple weeks, who will introduce us to our very own social worker. From there our home study will begin and we will be one step closer to adding a new addition to our family ❤️
