The West family is growing!
For many years, we have talked and prayed about adding to our family through adoption. With adopted siblings on both sides of our family, we have seen firsthand the beauty, challenges, and deep impact of this process. Early in his career, Jason had the privilege of working for an adoption organization for several years (the same one we'll be using!) and starting an adoption ministry at his church in Maryland.
While it has been something on our hearts and minds for a long time, God has made it very clear to us over the past few months that now is the right time to move forward. So, we are excited to announce that we will be adopting a little girl from India!
Would you consider partnering with us through your prayer and support? International adoption is an expensive endeavor. With legal fees, home study costs, paperwork, and travel, it will cost about $45,000 to bring our daughter home. Though we will also be applying for grants and using our savings, we would like to invite you to love and care for our family through your generosity. Thank you for considering. We wanted to share the great news that at this point, all of our adoption costs have been fully covered! Thanks to your incredible generosity and to four organizations (Show Hope, Lifesong, Omnah Foundation, and Here I Am) that gave us grants, our adoption is now fully funded.
Thank you so much for walking with us in this process! We are really grateful to all of you and so thankful for how the Lord has provided for us in this way.
Right now, we are still waiting to be matched with our little girl, so we would love your prayers for patience as we continue in this process.

Over the past few months, we have been applying for several grants. Just recently, we found out that we were approved for two of them!
The Omnah Foundation, a newer organization based in Virginia, gave us $10,000. If you'd like to learn more about the Omnah Foundation, you can visit omnahfoundation.org.
Lifesong for Orphans, a foundation supporting both adoption and orphan care, gave us an $8,000 matching grant. That means that for all NEW donations that we receive, they will match those funds up to $8,000. Dear friends,
We are excited to let you know that our home study was approved, and our application to India has now been accepted! We are now waiting for a referral from our agency. This part of the process can take around 4-8 months. It could be a little bit shorter than that, but that's the general timeframe. We're so happy to be one step closer to bringing our little girl home!
We are also in the midst of applying for several adoption grants, so we would love it if you could pray for us in that whole process. Thank you so much for walking with us throughout this long journey. Your prayers, support, and kindness mean the world to us!
Our girls ran two lemonade stands this summer and raised $350 to help bring their new sister home. We were so proud of them

We're happy to announce that we're now moving on to the next phase in our adoption journey! After working through a small mountain of paperwork over the past few months, we are now about to begin the home study process. We have our first meeting with our coordinator on July 15th. We've also raised almost $5,000 so far, and we are so grateful to each of you for your support and your prayers. We can't say thank you enough!
