Blake & Lucy Whitehead
are adopting a child from United States of America
We have exciting news, We are ADOPTING!
From day one of discussing our future together and goals for our family, Blake was very strong in his desire to adopt. We had agreed on wanting a big family. Our hopes were to have 3-4 children and going through the process of adoption for at least 1. But as we know God’s plans are bigger and greater!
After 5.5 years of trying to conceive, a year and a half of working with fertility specialists, rounds and rounds of treatments, endless blood samples, countless ultrasounds, self administered shots, 1 miscarriage, and countless negative pregnancy tests, We knew that deep down inside it was time. That God was calling us to open our hearts and our home and share all of the love we have to give with a beautiful child through adoption.
We are so excited for this journey. We appreciate the love and support from our family, friends, coworkers and those of you, we have yet to meet.
We cant wait to share our journey to adoption with all of you. #TheGreatestAdventure #WhiteheadAdoption #OneMoreLoved

Smiley Face Fundraiser
February 27, 2024: ) : ) : ) : ) : ) : )
In 2014, World Adoption Day was launched for the first time. As a gesture to create awareness around adoption, on the 9th of November every year, people all around the world (usually those touched by adoption) draw a smiley face on their hands.
Throughout the process of researching anything and everything adoption, the symbolization of the smiley face has stuck with me. The smiley face stands for so much; the little innocent smile on your sweet babies face as they are placed in the loving arms of your family, the smiles on the faces of the adoptive parents who finally get there call that they have matched or that their baby is on the way, and the uncontrollable smile and emotion when your holding your baby for the very first time.
With such amazing symbolism for adoption, we wanted to incorporate the smiley face in our fundraising to help offset some cost associated with the adoption process.
