To be honest, we thought our home would be a little more full by now, but shortly after Ellie Kate was born we realized that having more biological children might not be possible for us. Although adoption has been on our hearts for years we got hung up on waiting for the “right time”. It’s clear now this has always been God’s Plan A for us—and we couldn’t be more excited!
As we’ve prayed and sought wisdom from other adoptive families, along with our consultant, one big question has been finances. It’s daunting to think that adoption can cost up to (and sometimes over) $60,000. But “…my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” (Phil 4:19)
Our goal is to raise $50,000 All of this funding covers home studies, agency and legal fees, birth mother care, and more. Even though our journey only just began in August, we have seen God’s hand writing this story for years. He is so kind, and it is evident in the way He’s cared for us so early on in the process. We believe He will be faithful to finish what He’s started in this. (Phil 1:6) We are choosing to lean on Him even when it sounds scary.
God has not been shy about proving His character to us. (Ps. 116:5) He is faithful. He is good. And He cannot be anything but that. (2 Tim. 2:13) As we move forward, we trust in God’s perfect timing and His plan for our family. Our hearts are open to twins or a sibling group, and we can’t wait to witness how God’s story for our family unfolds. This is a journey we’d love for you to share with us.

MATCHED!
August 31, 2025After months of praying, waiting, and working tirelessly through this adoption journey… it’s finally happening. Lord willing, we will be welcoming a precious baby BOY into our home this September! 💙
Our Texas agency reached out to us August 22 to give us the news that the family picked us to raise their little boy. He’s due September 29th, and our hearts can hardly contain the joy and gratitude we feel. Every prayer, every dollar given, every encouraging word and prayer—you’ve all been part of bringing us to this point. What once felt like a distant dream is now becoming a reality, and we are humbled to watch God’s faithfulness unfold right before our eyes.

Reflecting on Mother's Day
May 15, 2025Mother’s Day 2025 was one for the books. I am so thankful for this beautiful season and incredible army of friends and family surrounding us as we charge toward our forever family.
The match-making phase is full of ups and downs, but we’re patiently waiting for that peace that causes us to rest beyond comprehension, with confidence that “this is forever”. We will get there - thanks to you. You all have been such an anchor in this journey that it is truly overwhelming and here I am attempting to make continuous update posts but coming up short of words. We love you all. Thank you - more than words can express.

Ellie Kate’s Ready — and So Are We
April 30, 2025Just the other day, I took Ellie Kate to McDonald’s so she could play in the Playplace while I got a little work done on my laptop. While we were there, we ran into a friend who had his younger son with him. The little boy walked up to Ellie and asked if she would help him go up the slide at church this weekend.
Without missing a beat, Ellie leaned over to me and whispered, “This is going to help me practice being a big sister.” Then she turned to our friend and said an enthusiastic, “Yes!”
I just love this girl’s heart.

Because He First Adopted Us
April 19, 2025As we enter Easter weekend, we’ve been reflecting deeply on what this season means — especially in light of our own adoption journey. Easter is a reminder that we’ve all been adopted into God’s family through Christ. It’s a beautiful, humbling picture of grace and belonging. That truth has never felt more personal to us.
Because of your generosity, we’re now taking steps toward applying with adoption agencies. This is a major milestone, and it comes with a number of necessary fees — application costs, home study expenses, background checks, and more. Your support is directly making this possible.
Even more incredibly, because so many of you have given so generously, we’re able to set aside a large portion of these donations for the adoption itself. This is a gift we don’t take lightly. It’s helping us steward every dollar wisely, plan with peace, and continue moving forward in faith.
Thank you for being part of this story — not just ours, but the story of a child who will one day know that they were loved, prayed for, and welcomed in long before we ever held them.
