Family & Friends:
As many of you know, we've been looking forward to starting a family this past year. Despite our best efforts, the biological route hasn't panned out as we hoped. Faced with a medical infertility diagnosis, we have decided the best path forward to us is adoption.
We know a private adoption is a journey filled with its own challenges, including financial ones. The estimated costs range from $40,000 to $50,000. We will be working directly with Kirsh & Kirsh, a law firm in Indianapolis that has over 100+ years of combined adoption law experience. We have done our initial consultations and in the coming weeks will be completing our home study and finishing our book to provide to potential birth parents.
We've set up this platform to help manage some of these expenses. Any contribution, big or small, will make a difference and reduce the amount we need to borrow. We're grateful for your support as we embark on this new chapter.
Thank you for being part of our journey. ❤️👶
🗒️ ↪️Unlike other fundraising platforms, donations made through the AdoptTogether site are tax deductible. The funds collected will exclusively cover adoption expenses, supported by invoices uploaded by us to ensure transparent fund dispersal.

So many people have asked us questions about our journey, experience, etc. and it's hard to know who we have responded to or more accurately, who we have forgotten to respond to.
We are going to post more updates in the space mentioned above for privacy reasons (us and the expecting mom), but it will also be a space for you all to ask questions as well and we can answer them as we navigate the next few months.
Again - all of your support means the world to us. We will never be able to thank any of you enough.

We thrilled to share that we’re transitioning from being uber-cautiously optimistic to just cautiously optimistic with some exciting news: as long as everything goes smoothly, we will be bringing home a baby boy in early December 2024. 👶🏾
We were matched with a birth mom just 96 hours after going live, and while there's always a chance she could change her mind, our adoption attorneys are very confident based on our recent discussions that everything will move forward accordingly. 🤞
To everyone who has supported us—whether financially, with positive vibes, or both—we are deeply grateful. After processing our HELOC and with the help of those who have already donated, we are still working hard to close our remaining financial gap that will include final attorney fees at the time of birth and a 2-3 week stay in Michigan while we wait for paperwork to be processed so we can return to Indiana. We are hopeful that it is processed quickly but have been told that the holidays can cause delays. 😬
Over the next 137 days, please keep sending positive thoughts and vibes for both us and our birth mom. We’re honored to be given the privilege of raising a child that isn’t biologically ours, and we don’t take this gift lightly. We've been working hard to support her and help lift her burdens within the boundaries we have been given legally, and we hope that as the immediate chaos settles for her that it will allow her stress levels to decrease as she continues along in her pregnancy. 💞
Thank you all for your continued support! This journey has been stressful at times, frustrating at others, but we know it will be worth it in the end. More importantly, we wouldn't have been able to get this far without all of you. 🙏
Stay tuned for more exciting updates, most of which will likely be us and the dogs preparing the house, while documenting their confusion (Sebastian) and excitement (Theodore) along the way. 🐾
Hello Friends & Family!
We're excited to share that we're in the final stages of developing our parentbook/blog, a space designed for birth mothers to learn about us and, hopefully, consider us for a match. Your support and encouragement have been invaluable throughout this journey.
To keep our loved ones in the loop, we've decided to create a more private group or blog. This will be a dedicated space for updates, allowing us to share our journey with those closest to us. We'll ensure everyone has the opportunity to opt-in and receive these updates once it goes live.
We are incredibly thankful for each and every one of you who has contributed to our fundraiser. It's heartwarming to know we have such a supportive community backing us. In this spirit, we're exploring ways to honor your support so that our future child knows about the amazing group of people who have been with us from the very beginning of our adoption journey.
Thank you for being a part of our story.
A note from Brianne:
We might have caught our home study specialist off guard by completing 98% of the paperwork within just 48 hours of receiving it! Anyone that knows me, however expects nothing less. 😂
Our home study sessions are all set - two virtual and one in-home visit. Next week, we'll be making our first payment to Kirsh and Kirsh, and my sister will be snapping some candid shots of us with BashDog and Ted for our book.
The book is quite the process. It's reassuring to have a team to review and assist with revisions, even though we know it's ultimately the birth parent(s) who will review it. Our meetings thus far have underscored the importance of photos—they often speak louder than words. Still, we're committed to making sure every aspect of our submission is just right in case someone wants to dive into the whole story of why they should choose us.
With the incredible support of our family and friends, our goal of being live on the waitlist by mid-April is within reach. Please feel free to share our fundraiser if you're inclined to do so. Your support means the world to us on this journey.
Love, Evan & Brianne
