We have BIG news!
We are adopting a child!
We are beyond excited and are doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome a beautiful new life into our home. As part of our adoption process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign. It may surprise you to hear that adoption related costs can easily total up to $50,000 or more. This is why we have set a goal of $50,000 to help ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents.
We hope that by inviting you into this process, you will see yourself as part of the community we hope to build around our child as he/she grows up.
Any doubts, please feel free to contact us.
Friends and family, it is with sad hearts that we come to you.
After a year of waiting and receiving placement notifications and denials, we were told that our family would be inactive in their system until April. They understand that a kid should go home with both parents in it, and I have no doubts about that.
What bothers me is how badly they worked the situation, even when they were advised in advance of the plans we had in motion so we could plan together the next steps.
It's been approximately two months since we started looking for other options, but we haven't yet gotten to a conclusion.
All those who donated will be contacted soon.
Hello family and friends!
We know we have been a little bit lost but there's no point in asking for donations when everything is at a standstill.
We have had visits in the past months from the agency and we have received notification of available kiddos but unfortunately, they are given to other families.
We learned from an adoption worker about why some families aren’t selected for children to be placed in their homes. According to them, if the adoptive family has never fostered, they are considered non-experienced, therefore if there is another family that is experienced fostering, the likelihood of them being selected for the child is high.
Because having a healthy and loved 8yrs old running around the house every day does not qualify as experience to take care of a child with the system. If they never give us the chance to foster then we will NEVER have the experience.
In addition, there's a possibility of Alejandro going to school for several months soon and we were told by the agency that during that period they will not be pushing for a placement in our home because one of the parents will not be available. BUMMER.
We have been looking at other options if all this continue at a standstill by October. We know we have all of your support in the process. ❤️❤️❤️
Hello friends and family!!!!
A belated Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all of you.
As some of you know, we got certified by the end of November, again. (Hopefully is the last time!!) And now, we are just waiting, patiently for that special kiddo.
A new year started and with that, new opportunities to help a little one and complete our family of 4 four.
With that being said, we just received notification for a kiddo looking for a home. The home study submissions are until the 11th, and then the whole selection process starts. Our awesome case manager sent our home study already and now we wait a little but more.
We are asking of you, friends and family, to send us all those good wishes with this little one.
Lots of love !

Hello family!!
As of right now we have 2 trainings pending to be done on the 11th so they have scheduled our new homestudy for Monday the 10th.
After that, we are just missinfg the TB tests and a response of approval.
This has been a LONG journey...
Thanks for being there giving us support during the headaches.
Ps. It doesn't matter if we already did one before and passed...the process is still nerve racking.
Hello, my lovely family!
We are still HERE! We are still in the process of certification ONCE again.
Our previous agency closed our case without transferring to the news agency, meaning we must take ALL the training AGAIN. YES! You heard right....all the training AGAIN!!!
The road looks super long ... and we must add that we are tired.
But we will keep pushing forward. We have to.
