Kevin & Bethany Belfield
are adopting a child from United States of America
We are so excited about building our family through adoption and we can’t wait to meet the children that God has already chosen to be Belfields.
We’d like to invite you to join us on this journey of adoption. We can’t do it alone and we are so grateful for all the people that God has put into our lives. We cherish all of the relationships that we have and we would love to welcome our babies home and surround them with all the love from you, our family and friends.
We humbly ask that you would consider supporting us as we build our family. Whether that’s by covering our family with your prayers, by helping us get our home ready, by donating needed baby items or through your financial support.
Adoption is very expensive and there are many requirements, but we know that God will provide a way for it to happen.
Adoption is a beautiful thing because as Christians, God has adopted us into His family and now He has entrusted us to adopt a little one into our family.
Thanks for being here with us. Kevin & Bethany

Update 13
Our Little Cauliflower
August 13, 2025Today we have reached 29 weeks gestation which means that, according to my app, our baby is the size of a head of cauliflower. Seems a bit strange, but its been fun anticipating each week what type of fruit of vegetable he will be.
The days are moving quite quickly and we are eagerly awaiting our son's arrival. Within the next few weeks, the agency will start talking with the expectant mother about her birth plan and whether or not she would like me to be with her during labor and deliver. To be there when our son is born would be an absolute honor.Financially we are moving right along. We only need $28,000. Its still A LOT of money but looking at everything the Lord has already provided is incredible. We know that He will provided this too. Please consider donating if you have not done so already. We would greatly appreciate it.
This weekend we have our first of two baby showers. It still feels weird to be having a baby shower when I'm not pregnant. But we are still celebrating a new life and, while she is not going to be with us, we are are also celebrating the Momma who will be bringing that life into the world.
We do have a baby registry if anyone is interested. We are registered at Babylist.com
Thanks for joining us on this journey. We look forward to introducing our son to you very soon.

Update 12
Meeting our baby's mother
July 8, 2025This past weekend, we had the privilege of traveling to Florida to meet our baby's mother. It was a trip filled with many unknowns, nerves and some fears. But God was in every detail of our time there and filled us with peace. He also put wonderful people in our lives who loved and cared for us while we were there. They were such a blessing to us.
Meeting Kalyn and our son (via ultrasound) for the first time was very emotional. We loved getting to meet her and talk with her and start a relationship with her that we hope will last a lifetime.
As we sat in the ultrasound room watching our little boy move around, grab his toes and wiggle his fingers, we were struck with awe at this beautiful little life. How anyone could consider him anything less than a baby is beyond me. We heard his heart beating strong and steady and we saw it pumping.
God created this little boy, his first mom chose life for him and now we are blessed with the opportunity to raise him. Such a beautiful gift.So what happens next? Good question. We continue to wait. We continue to pray for Kalyn and for baby boy. We continue to get our home and our hearts ready to welcome him home. We continue to form a relationship with Kalyn. We continue to raise money to fund this adoption journey and we make arrangements to go back to Florida when he is born.
In August, the agency will start to work on a birth plan with momma Kalyn. That might include the opportunity to be with her during labor and delivery.
Then in September, we'll start packing so that we're ready at a moments notice.
In October, I (Bethany) will most likely go to Florida early so I'm there when labor starts, unless she goes into labor prior to my arrival, in which case we will book the next available flight as soon as we get the call. After the baby is born, everything is unknown at this point. We have plans in place for different scenarios but there are many different factors so we'll wait and see.

Please consider sharing our story with your family and friends and ask them to join us. Please also pray that God would provide the remaining money needed.
We're so thankful for you. Thank for joining us.

Update 11
Halfway There!
June 19, 2025"For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.
Psalm 139: 13-14Life moves by very quickly. Things that once seemed far away, are now right around the corner. We often get lost in the business of life, that we forget to stop and be present. This season of waiting that we're in is hard, but I don't want to miss any of it. So many beautiful things are happening as we wait for our baby boy to arrive. We have seen the Lord's hand in every detail of our lives and in this adoption journey. It's beautiful!
Our expectant mother is just over halfway through her pregnancy. She and I (Bethany) have been forming a relationship over text message. She has shared that she feels baby boy moving quite a bit and she craves fruit and sweets. I love that she has invited me into her pregnancy journey. It's very special.
In July, we will go to Florida and meet her which we're really excited about. It will be a nice visit with her and the agency.
Financially, we're about halfway funded! We're so thankful for all the donations that have come through. We have our biggest fundraiser this Saturday, a pancake breakfast and silent auction. We're praying that it's very well attended. We still have a long ways to go, but we know that the Lord will provide.

Today's update is dedicated to my Opa (Grandpa) who would have been 94 yesterday but instead, he gets the privilege of celebrating his birthday with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He passed away Saturday leaving behind an incredible legacy. Our son would have been his 22nd great grandchild.

Update 10
WE MATCHED!!
May 16, 2025We are so excited to announce that we have officially matched with an expectant mother who will be having a baby boy in October, located in Jacksonville, Florida.
The “Active” phase was a whole lot shorter than we ever expected and after only presenting to two expectant mothers, we were chosen. We are feeling so humbled and overwhelmed with joy and thanksgiving for this match that was ordained by God.
Now that we have been matched, we will start to make arrangements for the baby's arrival. There are quite a few details to arrange and logistics to figure out including an upcoming trip to Florida to meet the expectant mother.
Financially, we now know exactly how much it's going to cost, $56,000. It's a big number but we fully trust that the Lord will provide everything we need. To those of you who have already helped, we are so thankful. If you are still considering how to support us, we thank you for your consideration. You can donate here on this site or you can send us a gift in the mail.

Milwaukee WI 53218We have two big fundraising events coming up and a baby shower …
June 7th Rummage sale (Contact us for details)
June 21st Pancake breakfast & silent auction at Woodridge community church.
September 13th Baby shower
https://my.babylist.com/bethany-kevin-belfieldAll of the money is needed before the baby is born!!
In addition to financial support, here are some additional needs.
A minivan…
We both drive older, small cars that aren't ideal for a cross country road trip or hauling everything we'll need to bring with us for our time in Florida with a newborn.Connections in the Jacksonville Florida area… When the baby is born, we'll need to be there for a minimum of two weeks, longer if the baby needs any medical attention. We prefer not to have to stay in a hotel that whole time.
Airline miles…
If you have a plethora of miles and you'd like to share, we'd be grateful. We'll be making several trips back and forth from Milwaukee to Jacksonville. These next few months are going to go fast. We're really looking forward to enjoying time together as a married couple before our life completely changes but we are so excited to be parents.
Thank you so much for joining us on this journey. We are so thankful for you. Please keep praying for us and for Momma Kalyn and her son.

Update 9
We are ACTIVE!!!
April 23, 2025So what does that even mean, being active. It means that we have completed all the required interviews, documents and payments (up till this point). It means that we are NOW being considered as a waiting adoptive family. It means that our consultants (Mustard Seed) will start sending us expectant mother cases whenever they receive them from the agencies that they partner with. This is a very exciting place to be and we have worked hard to get here.
So what's next? Glad you asked.
As we receive these cases, we will review each one and decide if it is a good fit for our family. Because our preferences (meaning the type of baby we are open to) are wide open, we could say yes to any and all. Each case we receive will have all the information that is known.
If we feel like a particular case is a good fit for us, we then give that agency permission to show our profile to that expectant mother. That's called "presenting". When we "present", our profile book and a hand written letter from us to her is given to the expectant mother. Typically each expectant mother receives 5-7 of these letters. It is then HER choice. We can only present to one expectant mother at a time. If we don't hear anything in two weeks, we can present again to another expectant mother. If she chooses us, that's a "Match".As we wait to receive cases and to present, we continue to raise money. In order to even present to an expectant mother, we need 50% of the total adoption cost. Most adoptions cost $40,000-$50,000. That varies based on the agency, the state, the legal fees and the expectant mother needs. That total amount will be told to us before we even present. So in order for us to say yes to her, we will need $20,000-$25,000. Its a big number but we have an even bigger God who can and will provide that money when its needed.
So how can you help? Thanks for asking.
We have several fundraisers coming up, a pancake breakfast (June 21st), a rummage sale(June 7th) and a bake sale (August 3rd). If you are local, we'd love for you to join us at one of these.
If you would like to host a fundraising event on our behalf, please let us know. If your company offers a match or a grant or you want to do some sort of raffle in your business, community or church, go ahead. We are so honored by all the people who have already stepped up to help us. God has provided every penny that we've needed up until this point and we know that He will continue to do so.How can you pray for us? We're honored that you asked.
Please pray that the Lord would keep us focused on Him and His plan through this process and that we would wait well on His timing.
Please pray for the expectant mother that we will match with. Pray for her health and safety, pray for her babies (yes, we believe that it will be more than one) as they grow.
Please pray that the Lord would provide in ways that we can't even imagine. Thanks for joining us on this journey. We are so very thankful for each and every one of you.
