We have some big news!! We have started the process to adopt again!!!
We are excited to move forward in our desire to grow our family this way and anxiously await the time we get to the point we can be active candidates and welcome a new little one into our family.
As part of our adoption process, we are starting some fundraisers to help with adoption-related costs. These costs easily reach $40,000 before the finalization fees. This cost is overwhelming at times but we have experienced firsthand how the Lord provides in amazing ways. So we are asking you to pray about financially supporting our family in this next adoption.
Our hope is that by partnering with us you will see yourself as part of the community our child will be raised in. If financial support is not something you can do then please pray for us as we continue this and as we raise our children.

February 26, 2024We have a potential match! We're super excited about this yet also guarding our hearts because they may yet decide on another family. Baby girl is due March 7!!!! So our agency is requiring payment in full as soon as we have an official match. Please join us in praying that the grants and adoption loans we have applied for will be awarded soon, like tomorrow soon haha!! Thank you all for your continued support through prayers, encouraging words, and asking how the process is going. We are stoked to have a possible match!

January 17, 2024We just wanted to reach out and say thank you again to each of you who have so generously given to help us reach our goal. We are waiting to be matched and praying for patience as we wait. It feels a little easier this time around to be patient, probably because there's an extra little one to chase after in addition to homeschooling the older 2. So we trust that the Lord knows the perfect timing to grow our family and the exact little one to be a Schmidt. We have applied for a few grants but haven't heard back on any of them yet so we continue to pray for the Lord's favor in the eyes of the committees and trust that he has called us here and he will provide. We hope you are doing well and whatever the season of life you're currently in you know you are deeply loved by the Father
