We have exciting news! We’re adopting! As a family, we are feeling joyful and grateful to God that we can begin this amazing journey.

For a long time we’ve wanted another child. After struggling with infertility we thought we would have to let that dream go. However, in the last year God has guided us to dream again and in a way we hadn’t planned on. With faith, we have taken the first steps to adopt internationally.

John and I were drawn to international adoption because we love working with students that are new to the U.S. We thought Costa Rica was a good fit because John has traveled there twice already, and we were amazed when our adoption agent told us it was a perfect fit for us! It is our hope to be placed with a 6-8 year-old by the summer of 2026.

As we embark on this journey, our hope is that people will join us in 3 ways: ● prayer and encouragement ● financial support ● spread the word about our fundraising campaign

Our goal is to raise $35,000 to cover all the expenses that are involved in the adoption process. We inviting you to join the community we hope to build around our child as he/she grows up!

    Next Step: The Dossier

    August 14, 2024

    Dossier is a fancy word for a collection of important documents. This is our next, and busiest part of the process. Today we secured an October appointment with a friendly psychologist who is an expert in international adoption. We also connected with an adoption supervisor at Lutheran Family Services who can help us with the home study. Will our minds and our home measure up? One thing is for sure, they will love our garden!
